A cast brass cooking pot on three legs, with straight sides banded with incised rings, two cast lugs and a wrought iron bail handle.
This is how cooking was done before the stove. The three legs stood the pot directly in the embers of an open hearth, and the iron handle let it hang from a pot hook over the fire.
Condition: Small crack next to one handle attachment. Wear and patina consistent with age.
