This salt was made in Bohemia in the late 18th century. The image is reverse painted on the bottom of the salt and a layer of glass is applied over the paint. The name Doppelwandglas translates to Double wall glass. These types of salts were often given as wedding gifts.
There are scattered small chips to the salt and some toning and crackle to the image.
