Engraved Case Bottle

A blown glass case bottle with tapering square sides, a short neck and an applied lip, wheel-engraved with flowering sprays. Pontil mark on the base.

Case bottles were square so they'd pack tightly into a wooden case, which made them ideal for gin and other spirits on ships and in cellars.
