A large stoneware jug with exceptional form and an incised fish decorated with cobalt blue. This decoration and form is often attributed to Jonathan Fenton who worked in Boston in the late 18th century into the early 19th century Such jugs are scarce and this is quite a monumental example of his work.
there are several stable cracks running from the base as well as some flaws from the kiln.
