Silla Dynasty. (5th–7th century)

This Silla Dynasty stoneware jar, dating from circa 5th–7th century CE, is a classic example of early Korean ceramic artistry during the Three Kingdoms period. Crafted from gray ceramic, the jar features a restrained, elegant form—with a rounded body, narrow neck, and rolled rim.

These jars were often used as funerary vessels or storage containers, some placed in tombs as part of burial rites to accompany the deceased into the afterlife.

With its quiet strength and minimalist beauty, this Silla jar reflects a deep appreciation for form and balance.
